Supermodel Selita Ebanks was born in Georgetown, Cayman Islands on February 15, 1983.Her life is a classic example of 'Rags to Riches’, Selita's initial few years were spent in what she recalls as "a little blue, zinc-roof shack on Walkers Road", which she shared with seven more siblings, all brothers! Shoes were considered luxury during her primary schooling years in George Town primary school. In spite of this Ebanks was enthusiastic about participating in sports like soccer, basketball and Tennis. Her fondness towards sports was acquired initially through her brothers.
Later Selita Ebanks migrated to United States from Cayman Islands wherein she enrolled in Spelman College, Columbia University and New York University. However, the aspiring lawyer changed her course from law to modeling at an appropriate age of 17. This alleviated the need of graduation in Selita's life and she relinquished her plans to graduate from the institutions she had enrolled into.

This event changed the course of Selita's life forever, since then selita Ebanks has endorsed many of the 'best and biggest' brands in the fashion world including but not limited to Levi's, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and Abercrombie & Fitch. Ebanks is the favorite amongst renowned photographers of the rank of Steven Klein, Peter Lindbergh, Mikael Jansson, Carter Smith and others.Selita Ebanks has worked for Elite Model Management,Women Management,Supreme, Mega Models and Select Model Management Agencies since 2000.
Ebanks work with Ipex Bra Line was noted by Fashion industry bigwigs and she was soon signed by Victoria’s Secret, the famous Lingerie brand renowned for its elite Model cast. It was not long before Selita Ebanks was bestowed the status of an Angel by Victoria's Secret. Her Debut on Victoria's Secret Ramp happened in the year 2005 along with an upcoming model Izabel Goulart. The Aquarian supermodel got engaged to actor and rapper Nick Cannon during the first week of October 2007. Recently it is reported that the couple has ended their engagement. One of her recent gossiped relationship was the one with Tennis player James Blake. She has been linked with quite a few football players including Tony Romo of Dallas Cowboys and Tad Kornegay of Saskatchewan Roughriders. As per current media reports she is currently dating football player Osi Umenyiora of New York Giants.
